Life Choices & Active Aging

Peckys Life Choices and Active Ageing programs aim to provide age appropriate day time leisure and recreation activities. It supports the person to make the transition between life stages and provide opportunities for community inclusion and participation.

Our support is delivered in a person centred approach and we encourage and support people to maintain existing relationships with families and friends and develop new networks in their local communities.

The program is flexible and can be delivered on a one to one basis or in small groups. We offer a range of activities including choir groups, cultural days, computer classes, African drumming and coffee club.

Transport is available and negotiated on an individual basis with the person and their family.

Clients who access this program are funded by Family and Community Services (FACS) under Post School Options, Life Choices and Active Ageing funding.
